In New York in 1837 the economic developed rapidly and gold is everywhere. The 25-year-old Charles Lewis Tiffany and John B. Young has pre-loan 1000 U.S. dollars from Tiffany's father, and opened a shop selling stationery and boutique.

In 1882, the U.S. president Chester Arthur invited Tiffany & Co. Founder's son, Louis Comfort Tiffany to re-design for the White House. In 1900, Louis Comfort Tiffany has become a leading figure in the new wave of art. In 1902 he became Tiffany & Co.'s first Creative Director.
